I woke up mid-yelp last night, jarred into consciousness by a giant crack of thunder. The lightning was instantaneous-- it struck the building next door. I wonder if the pool on their roof attracts lightning.
Several car alarms went off in the wake of the strike. It was exactly 4:30am.
